This is North Devon's premier Agricultural spectacle.

The annual event is a celebration of North Devon's agricultural roots. A host of livestock classes occupy the arenas throughout the day with Alpacas, Cattle, Horses, Sheep, Show Jumping and Open Dog Show. Attractions, displays, demonstrations and trade stands for all.

The show site is a completely level area of approximately 50 acres with an adjacent car parking area of 42 acres with good access on to the A377.

LONG SERVICE AWARDS IN AGRICULTURE AND HORTICULTURE

The North Devon Agricultural Society invites entries from any employee who has completed THIRTY YEARS service as detailed below.

There will be 3 prizes of £25:00, £20:00 and £15:00 plus a Souvenir Tankard and certificate to each of the three who have completed the longest service on Wednesday, 5th July 2017

CONDITIONS:

(a)The entries are confined to workers employed in the Society's local area with approved service of not less than 30 years with:
i.   the same employer on the same or different holdings, or
ii.   different employers on the same holding and whose work can be considered to be mainly agricultural or horticultural according to the Agriculture Act.
(b)Service prior to the age of fourteen will not count.
(c)Service interrupted through conscription, volunteering or direction owing to War shall count provided that the worker returned to the same employer or holding prior to Tuesday, 4th July 2017.
(d)Part-time employees are ineligible unless over 65 years of age.
(e)Previous winners of the Long Service Award offered by the North Devon Agricultural Society are eligible to enter again provided their award was prior to 1st July 2010.
(f)Each entry shall be completed in full and be signed by the employer.
(g)Entries must reach the Secretary not later than first post Friday 7th July 2017.
(h)Prizes will be presented on the Showground on the afternoon of the Show, Wednesday 2nd August 2017 at the Prize Giving during the Grand Parade.

All Entrants will be sent a free pass to the Show.
