CONFIRMATION OF STAGE ACT 1:
We look forward to welcoming Chris on Wednesday 7th August at the North Devon Show.
CHRIS DRIVER is a singer-songwriter known for his blend of Folk-Country-Pop, heartfelt lyrics and emotive and captivating vocals.
His debut single 'Lightning' was featured as BBC Introducing South track of the day in January this year, and 'Fate' is his much anticipated second single. Accompanied by the delicate simplicity of mesmerizing acoustic guitar lines, Chris's lyrics and vocals are the focal point of this incredibly raw and sincere performance.
About the song, Chris said, 'Fate is a four-minute autobiographical piece, a timely reminder that some of life's decisions are out of our control. Like a conversation, I wanted the song to connect with the listener and convey that emotion of the journey through life, loss, and the unquantifiable highs and lows of love'.
With influences such as Neil Young, Bob Dylan and John Smith, you can hear the folk troubadours spilling over, when an artist is brave enough to leave themselves exposed with nothing to hide behind, stripped back, vulnerable, when the emotion communicated with the listener is at its best.
Chris has two more single releases planned in the next three months, with more music expected at the end of the year.
As well as our Main Ring & Tarka Ring schedules, we have a Stage for 2019 which will be in the middle of the showground.
We have a fantastic line up of 8 different acts performing throughout the day - soloist's, duo's, a choir and a band.
More details of each act will follow over the coming weeks with timings nearer show day. We look forward to seeing you on the 7th August.
